Walleye Fishing In Canada Is For The Avid Fisherman
Walleye fishing is one of the more popular types of fishing done in Canada as a sport; Walleye fish are often a hot commodity for fishers all over North America as they taste good and are rather easy to find. At the same time, Walleye fishing in Canada provides a rather stimulating activity while providing any fisherman (or fisherwoman) the opportunity to take it easy and relax while on their fishing trip.
There are certain spots that are particularly recommended for Walleye fishing in Canada; northern Ontario is one of the hottest spots for getting a hold of these fascinating fish.
What is it about Canadian Walleye fish that set them apart and make them so interesting? For one, Walleye fish have exotic, cat-like eyes that make them rather easy to spot in some clear waters at night. Most Walleye fishing in Canada is done in the evening with bait, as these fish are nocturnal and come out only when it is dark out to catch food, mate, and socialize. Walleye fishing in Canada is made even more fun with the exciting atmosphere that nighttime Walleye fishing provides.
There are two main reasons that Walleye fishing in Canada is such a popular industry. People fish for Walleye because they want to enjoy the tender flesh that fresh Walleye fish are so popular for or they are looking to fish just for the fun of it; a great deal of the fishing resorts and fishing camps in Canada are dedicated mainly to catch and release fishing--not everybody enjoys fish and not everybody enjoys the fact that fish are killed when they are caught, so catch and release fishing allows these people to enjoy the past-time of Walleye fishing in Canada without having to keep (and eat) the fish they catch. This way, they can take pictures with their big trophy fish but never have to worry about having killed it; this is one of the reasons why Walleye fishing in Canada is such a hot commodity.
The next time you are on the lookout for a quick getaway or you are looking for a good fishing trip and a great time, be sure to check out some of the lodges and resorts that are dedicated to Walleye fishing in Canada as well as other fish all around Canada.
