Canada Fishing Lodges: Longing For A Fishing Vacation?

Are you stuck in the city and longing for a fishing vacation? Sitting on the other side of the world wondering about your next fishing trip? Turn your thoughts to Canada fishing lodges. Canada boasts some of the most beautiful, remote landscapes for fishing adventures in the world. From the small fishing villages along the Atlantic coast to the rugged coastline of the Pacific with the Rockies in the distance and Hudson’s Bays’ beautiful forest area near the Artic Ocean. See the amazing glaciers, expansive rainforests, watch the humpbacked whales and Orcas as they move from breeding grounds to feed. Canada is rich in culture with regular folk festivals, Native American villages and music.

Nanook Lodge is just one of the fishing lodges and is situated in the beautiful Stuart Island region of British Columbia. Access is by seaplane from either Vancouver or Seattle in the U.S. or water taxi from Campbell River, B.C. This lodge is open from March to October each year and can accommodate up to 18 guests at a time. Private rooms features include private baths and showers, satellite TV, queen size beds, hot tub and many other inclusions. All accommodation packages at the fishing lodge include three meals a day, rain gear, boat, fishing tackle, guide and bait.

Moving over to the Atikonak River in the Labrador Interior is the ecotourism fishing lodge of Riverkeep. Atikonak Lake as well as the river is home to healthy sized Salmon, brook trout, whitefish and northern pike. Riverkeep has a catch and release policy and has a strict fly fishing only rule. The river is also home to black bear, fox, caribou beaver osprey and eagles, which can be viewed whilst being ferried along the river in 20 ft cedar-planked canoes. Stay in the guest house which consists of a living room with wood stove, complete bathroom facilities and three double bedrooms. Or there is a smaller cabin which is ideal for couples and has similar features. All meals are served with pride in the delicious tastes.

These are just two examples of the lodges where you can enjoy your fly fishing, freshwater fishing and saltwater fishing combined with nature walks, kayaking, sightseeing and gourmet dining all in the sheer beauty of these areas. There are many lodges in all areas of Canada such as Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan and Prince Edward Island to name a few. Some lodges cater for several groups and or couples at a time whilst others are smaller and offer a more personal approach. The facilities differ and you can be sure to find a lodge that can offer you exactly the type of accommodation and services you require.

With the beauty and majesty of the Canadian wilderness areas combined with all the amenities and service the Canada fishing lodges offer, your fishing adventure will be an experience that will see you booking in again and again.
