The Canada Bass Fishing Experience

Many people find fishing for bass to be one of the most enjoyable types of angling. Bass live in both lakes and running water, anywhere that it doesn’t stay overly hot for a long time in the summer. Any water you can find bass in is most likely to be healthy water. These fish are fighters on the line, and considered very exciting to catch. Because bass prefer cool, clear water conditions, there are large bass populations in the northern United States and in Canada. Bass fishing in Canada is rapidly becoming a popular sport for people who want to get away and try fishing in new surroundings.

One of the most popular areas of Canada for bass fishing is Ontario. Both small-mouth bass and largemouth bass can be fished in the over 70,000 lakes of Ontario. Many companies and travel associations in Canada offer fishing trips for people who would like to come take part in this experience. Because human pressure on fish is low in Canada, fisherman have a greater chance of landing a trophy-sized fish. Canada bass fishing provides a unique experience for those who are tired of fishing close to home and want to experience new surroundings.

Canada bass fishing packages start from the simple – renting a cottage and the services and equipment of an experienced guide – to the complicated – an exclusive fly-in only fishing cabin. If you want to, you and your party can be the only people fishing on the entire lake. These remote lakes have less than thirty groups a year visit them, which means that almost the only humans the fish will encounter will be you. The do-it-yourself fisherman can also rent accommodations in hotels, campgrounds, or on houseboats and venture into the fishing grounds himself. However, it’s often best to charter with a fishing company, since they know the local area and the habits of the fish. That way you can jump right in and start fishing.

U.S. citizens looking for Canada bass fishing opportunities will find that they can often come across the border without needing a passport, as long as they enter the country via land. Bass fishing in Canada provides a change of atmosphere as well as an exciting angling experience. You can easily land bigger fish in Ontario than you can at home, while enjoying the wilderness scenery of some of the most untouched places on earth. Canada bass fishing could be the vacation you’re looking for.
